This page is a summary in English. The rest of our website is in Japanese.

What we buy

We buy two kinds of things: phones (smartphones and flip phones) and trading cards.

Four phones we have bought, including an iPhone with a cracked screen, a scratched rugged smartphone and a flip phone

01

Smartphones and mobile phones

We appraise phones with cracked screens and phones that won’t turn on.

We buy iPhones, Android smartphones and Japanese flip phones (feature phones). We look at the model and its condition, and if the parts still have value, that is reflected in the price. If you have an old phone sitting in a drawer because you think no one would pay for it, bring it in.

Trading cards we have bought, each in a sleeve, laid out on a tray

02

Trading cards

Pokémon cards and other trading cards. Large collections are welcome. Bring them in their binders or boxes.

We do the sorting. You don’t need to put each card in a new sleeve or make a list. If there is a valuable card in the pile, we will tell you.

Why “Honne”?

Honne (本音) is a Japanese word for what you really think. We don’t just give you a number. We tell you why the price is what it is. If we can pay a lot, we pay a lot. If we can’t, we tell you honestly.

How it works

No appointment is needed. Just bring the items you want to sell and your ID.

  1. Illustration of a yellow shop door at the top of a staircase 1

    Visit us

Bring your items and your ID to our shop on the 2nd floor. The elevator does not stop at the 2nd floor, so please take the stairs.

  2. Illustration of a smartphone and trading cards on a tray being checked with a magnifying glass 2

    Appraisal

We check the condition of your items on the spot. If you bring a lot of items, we’ll tell you up front roughly how long it will take.

  3. Illustration of an itemized statement with a total and a speech bubble 3

    Price explanation

We explain not only the total but also how much each item is worth and why. Feel free to ask questions.

  4. Illustration of banknotes and coins on a cash tray 4

    Cash payment

If you accept the price, we pay you in cash on the spot. If you decide not to sell, there is no charge.

What to bring

ID (required)

We check ID for every purchase, regardless of the amount. Please bring one of the following that shows your current address in Japan:

  • Japanese driver’s license
  • My Number Card
  • Health insurance eligibility certificate (Shikaku Kakuninsho)
  • Residence Card (Zairyu Card)

Without ID, we cannot buy your items that day.

If the address on your ID is not your current address, please also bring a document that shows your current address, such as a certificate of residence (Juminhyo). A passport cannot be used as ID, because it does not show your address in Japan.

Under 18

Under Osaka Prefecture’s youth protection ordinance (Seishonen Kenzen Ikusei Jorei), we generally do not buy items from anyone under 18. We can only discuss it if a parent or guardian comes with you, so please call us before visiting. The ordinance requires us to check your age, and your ID is how we do it.

Helpful to bring

  • The phone’s box, charger and accessories
  • Receipt or warranty card from when you bought it
  • The binders or storage boxes your cards are in

Not required, but they make the appraisal faster and may raise the price.

What we cannot buy

  • Items in someone else’s name (such as a phone under another person’s contract), or items sold without the owner’s permission
  • Items we suspect may be stolen or lost property
  • Anything at all, if you can’t show ID
